Prepare for the launch of the Avatar set with the Magic: The Gathering Avatar Prerelease Pack. These packs are typically released before the set’s official launch and are designed to give players a taste of new mechanics and cards. Each pack usually contains several booster packs (Play Boosters) as well as a special prerelease-stamped card, unique promo cards, tokens, and gameplay materials such as marker cards, land, and a decorative box (crate) to store the cards in.

Practically speaking, the prerelease pack provides everything you need to participate in prerelease tournaments: boosters to build a deck with, extra special cards, and materials to play with right away. Thematic variants (such as Zuko, Aang, Katara, etc.) mean that each pack caters to different niches or color bases in Magic.

The design and art of the pack reflect the characters, elements, and atmosphere of the Avatar world making it an attractive addition for both competitive players and collectors.
