The mournful spruces drooped their branches deep over the stream, which flowed clearly and gurgling in surges through the forest. The stream was not particularly deep, no more than reaching a grown man’s knees. But it was enough for the large horse to burst forth from the flow when unsuspecting souls were near.

Fable Play Horror is a role-playing game for two or more participants of all ages. During the game, you experience a story where the focus is on horror and ghost stories in the Iron Ore Fields and Tornedalen. There is an opportunity to combine the game with crafts, games, and activities for the youngest. Investigate the winding passages of the abandoned mines, explore the secrets of the deep old-growth forest, and solve the mysteries of the Iron Ore Fields!

The game takes its cue from the same tradition as classic horror, but aimed at an all-ages audience. Fable Play Horror also functions as portal fantasy, connecting our world with the world from Fable Play Adventure.

“Fable Play Horror is a surprisingly mature game for young people, who get the chance to reflect on how they themselves view their surroundings and how it develops and changes. The rules are easy to learn and everything is presented in a clear and pedagogical way.” – Magnus Seter, role-playing game designer

“It’s beautiful and eerie at the same time, when memories from the Iron Ore Fields come to life.” – Dan Johansson, game designer

“Spookily fun for adults and children. Recommended for every campfire.” – Kristofer Stenskog, creator of Agents of Concordia
